Description |
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Buick Envision vehicles. An accessory NSV Universal Tablet Holder may have been installed incorrectly onto the front seat head restraints, preventing the head restraint posts from fully engaging in the seat back. If so, the head restraints would fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 202a, "Head Restraints." |
Consequences |
If the head restraint posts are not fully engaging in the seat back, the head restraint may loosen or dislodge, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. |
Corrective action |
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the head restraints and tablet holders for the correct installation, reinstalling them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 27, 2017. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is 17239/17258. |

I've had my 2017 Envision since the end of May 2016. I love this car except the little bit of shake you get when rounding the corners. I have also experienced the drivers side window go all the way down and then suddenly close half way up. This is intermittent so the dealer could not duplicate and did nothing. The pump to the washer fluid stopped working while we were on the road as it was snowing. This could be very dangerous, as the salt spray could not be washed off. We dropped the car off at Anderson Buick in Cockeysville Md to have regular service performed (4634 miles) and to have the pump and side window looked at Friday morning at 9:00 am. They told me the car was ready but they had to order a pump. Again it was supposed to snow later, and without being able to clean the front window, I did not want it without the pump being fixed. We picked up a rental vehicle which in my opinion is not comparable to my fully loaded Buick (2018 GMC Terrain SLE basic model). When
