RECALL FOR EXTERIOR LIGHTING
GM IS RECALLING 4,586 MY 2008 CADILLAC STS AND STS-V PASSENGER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 138, 'TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS' (TPMS). THE STANDARD REQUIRES AN INDICATION TO THE DRIVER FOR CERTAIN TPMS MALFUNCTIONS. WHEN THE SYSTEM DETECTS A MALFUNCTION, THE LOW TIRE WARNING LIGHT SHOULD FLASH FOR ABOUT ONE MINUTE AND THEN STAY ON THE REMAINDER OF THE IGNITION CYCLE. A DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER MESSAGE WILL ALSO BE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

I have had a number of things go wrong with my 2008 Cadillac STS. The 1st time we used the vanity mirrors, they fell off into our laps, the backseat seatbelts get stuck everytime thet are used and lately a msg pops up on the screen about the stability system. When i took the vehicle in to get the mirrors fixed I mentioned the engine sounds too loud. When i picked up the car a few days later, the Cadillac service guy told me they checked it and it's fine. But it's not...My dad says he thinks the idle is too high
