2/18/2012 - M. Giebelhaus
I have a 2009 Avalanche with the 6.0L engine. It idels rough (missing), shifts harshly, and upon acceleration while moving it hesitates and does not downshift immidiately therefor causing a hesitation in the acceleration. Three dealers say there is nothing wrong with it. however, a mechanic at one of the dealers told us there is a huge recall coming out in the next few weeks for this issue and several others.
9/9/2010 - C.B. Worthington
Within the last two weeks my 2009 Avalanche has been driven on wet highways and both times the cabin has been filled with gasoline fumes with a few minutes of driving. They cannot duplicate the problem at the dealership therefore there is not a problem. Surely I am not the only owner that has experienced this. Where from here?
9/4/2010 - Trina Cochran
I have a 2008 Chevy Avalanche, door lock problems started. The driver door does not lock and the passenger side rear door jams when you try to open the door. I called the dealership they said it was not a recall. How do I get the dealership to respond in the right manner to have this put on recall. Looks like other people are having the same problem.
8/8/2010 - Robert Little
I own a 2008 Chevy Avalanche, door lock problems from early on dealer repaired once, now the driver door and driverside passenger side doors will not lock or unlock. they tell me now that it is not a covered item for the warranty.
How does this fit into the recall, and how do I get the dealer to react.
