I have an Impala and I'm having some of the same problems as some of the others that I have read. It makes a humming noise whenever I turn my car on or when I turn. I have change my gas pedal also and after two weeks of driving the car stop giving a starting disabled service throttle. After that message then another pops up that the engine is not getting enough power. I have took it to get check out and have three different problems. I refuse to keep making payments on a car that don't drive.

I have had problems with this car since purchasing it. Both rear locks have went out twice, dealer want over $300 dollars to replace. Car is going on 5 years and right now I am getting ready to be on fourth set of tires. I have had alignments and rotations and even put Michelins on which is supposed to be one of the best, still wearing down on the inside. Also the air acuator went out, vehicle wouldn't go out of park one time. Dealer told me it was wear and tear, doesn't that sound crazy. This was my dream car, want be purchasing another model of this type.

I have to replace the rear tires two times a year, as they get worn on the inside only, enough that steel is hanging out. I also had to replace the accelerator pedal, apparently there are censors on them, and after about the tenth time my car just shut down on its own while I was driving (the last time was on a skinny two lane road and nowhere to pull off, and my kids were in the backseat, I had to just sit there for 5 minutes waiting for it to reset), I took it to the dealership and there are problems with the censors and the whole pedal has to be replaced, but of course it has not been recalled yet. Now I am having problems with a whining noise when I am at an idle, and the noise gets louder when I accelorate. It sounds like the power steering, will be taking it into a shop soon to see what that will cost me. The transmission is also slipping and jerks hard when I put it in drive sometimes. There is a problem with the headlight wires, and sometimes the headlight will go out, but if I

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
