RECALL FOR SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC : ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP : CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
SOME OF THESE PASSENGER VEHICLES HAVE AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU) THAT MAY CALCULATE A HIGHER THAN ACTUAL VEHICLE SPEED BECAUSE OF AN ERRATIC REAR-WHEEL SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL, AND CAUSE ABS ACTIVATION WHERE IT IS NOT NEEDED OR NEEDED ABS ACTIVATION TO BE EXTENDED DURING BRAKING AS THE VEHICLE SPEED DROPS TO ABOUT 3 MPH.

UNEXPECTED ABS ACTIVIATION COULD INCREASE STOPPING DISTANCE UP TO ABOUT 11 FEET DPENDING ON THE GRADE OF THE ROAD, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. |

This car has many problems. The signal light don't work all the time, car horn does not work, always needs pws fluid, security sensor malfunction causes car to lock up wont start or do anything (this can happen anytime anywhere ...good luck in court if that malfunction happens on a busy highway) ... the list can go on and on...Many other owners of this make & model are having the same trouble recall this car! I will NEVER own another chevy!

P.s the steering has locked up twice and been replaced and still clunks so the two most important safety features have had problems steering and brakes so enjoy

Have a 2004 Malibu and it has 116000km and unwanted abs
activation has happened twice caused the car to roll into intersections took it to GM dealer and they said nothing was wrong it has already had the recall for this performed so they say. my wife and kid are in this car all the time, sorry general motors but the car is getting traded on one of your lots good luck in court I can't risk my family for your problems.
