the oil leak he failed to mention is the rear main seal, when I checked what that really was on the net, it turns out it affect my transmission, and motor. The mechanics I spoke to were upset the dealerhip didn't service it right away as it can cause an accident, but they only cared about their money and not safety. Nor the manufacturing company, the agent, dealership and the mechanics seem to think it is an issue. but other FIAT mechanics and independent shops, told me to return the car if it did not get fixed, it was an accident waiting to happen.

I recently purchased a FIAT 2012 Pop, I was excited until I got home and did a national recall check while I was really looking for accessories. To my surprise the car had a recall and the dealer sold it to me with it,without letting me know. I took it to get fixed, get my old car back and leave it behind but I was told it be corrected on a Monday. I went and the mechanic was upset I was there without an appointment although the agent and manager had scheduled one for me. Finally I went two Saturdays later, while it was being service they omitted to let me know the car had a leak on the rear main seal. I was asking the manager to let me know of anything the car had in addition, as I too wanted to make an oil change and to check how much it cost for brakes, new tires etc.. the manager flat out told me the car had had an oil change and that it did not need to be until the next 20,000 miles. Ok, I said is everything else ok, he only mentioned the tires and a small leak but no to worry

Fiat 500, bearings go easily, handles snap (which was picked up in my mot) but fiat arent re-calling the car. Wing mirrors snap off. My experience is that fiat is happy to take my money to buy a fantastic looking car but not offering much back. Not convinced I would buy one ever again.

Do you drive a 2012 FIAT 500?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
