2011 GMC TERRAIN RECALL - #22V137000
RECALL FOR EXTERIOR LIGHTING : HEADLIGHTS
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2017 GMC Terrain vehicles. A reflection caused by the headlight housings may illuminate areas above the vehicle and outside of the driver's view with excessively bright light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

| Description |
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2017 GMC Terrain vehicles. A reflection caused by the headlight housings may illuminate areas above the vehicle and outside of the driver's view with excessively bright light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." |
| Consequences |
The bright reflection may cause a glare for other drivers, reducing their visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. |
| Corrective action |
Dealers will install headlamp appliques, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 8, 2022. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N222363740. |

Drive 2011 GMC Terrain. We keep it serviced but just found out it uses a LOT of oil. Just like a baby, you may need to feed it more. I've also noticed that each time we take a road trip afterwards we also have some type of serious problem with the engine, sensors or the like. That's what we purchased the car for is to use. We take a lot of road trips and we need the car to be TOTALLY reliable, short or long trips. Very disappointing.

2011 AWD 6cyl - This thing was made to drive in the snow. LOVE IT...plenty of room, plenty of power, and we love all the features.

2011 Terrain - 1 month 700 miles - SE Massachusetts City - Highway driving - LOVE IT . Handles well in snow and slop , on highway no problems merging , passing etc..-4 cylinder engine . Plenty of room - interior , cargo . Very good ride in all conditions .
