I drive a 2004 Infinity G35x. The car engine simply quit running on the interstate while I was in the 3rd lane over going about 70 mph in moderate to heavy traffic. EXTREMELY dangerous situation. I was very fortunate to get the car over to the right side, but not before another driver had to pass me at speed on the shoulder, that driver did a good job but it was very scary for both of us. I subsequently learned that a problem with the Camshaft Position Sensor was the culprit and that it is VERY common on the 2003-2004 G35's. This is a really serious safety issue--why this is not a recall item is beyond me. I did a write up on the NHTSB site but I really doubt that will have any effect. My mechanic says Infinity is well aware of this but no recall has been issued. Shame on them.

I was just wondering was anybody having problems with their seat belt not fitting properly mine goes across my neck. Im afraid that in a accident it will do more harm then good if it locks up across my neck that can cause some serious injuries.

Do you drive a 2004 INFINITI G35?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
