Consequences |
THIS CAN RESULT IN BREAKAGE OF THE GEAR TEETH POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO "LOCK UP" AT SPEEDS BELOW 15 MPH. |
Corrective action |
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AUTOMATIC GEARBOX. |

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT JAGUAR AT 1-201-818-8500. I have the 1999 Jaguar V8 and I was never notified of a transmission problem. I have 52,000 miles on the car. Is it to late to take it to a dealer?
