CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 712 MY 2009 SEBRING, DODGE CALIBER, AVENGER, JOURNEY, JEEP PATRIOT, AND COMPASS VEHICLES. A NEW ADHESIVE USED IN THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) MANUFACTURING PROCESS CAN CAUSE THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD TO BREAK.

i do have a 2008 jeep compass and i am having some problems.Sometimes when off and trying to restart vehicle, would not start. but, when by moving the gear shift back and forth from drive to park, eventually vehicle would start. I have taken this vehicle to my mechanic and he could not diagnose the problem.
What cani do?

I think I've got a 2009 Jeep Compass that has a problem with an improperly installed stabilizer bar. I just went into the dealer at the end of August, 2012 to have my second oil change and tire rotation right at 10,000 miles, and they said that the link bushing was bad in the rear and that a tie rod was loose in the front, and they want about $660.00 for repairs. Of course, being retired, I couldn't afford the repairs, nor was I expecting anything like that at least not until a far future time. So I took it home and that's where it is sitting right now.
I called Jeep Headquarters in MI. and they said that they will try to help me out.
I sure hope so!
I have never had a brand new car before and I always wanted a Jeep, because when I thought of Jeep, I thought-RUGGED, RELIABLE, QUALITY.
I traded in my most favorite vehicle of all time - a '92 Dodge Dakota - to finally get a Jeep. Hopefully, everything will be worked out fine.
