This is the 2nd 1997 Lincoln Town-car that I own. They are both 1997 one is Executive the other is Signatures. The 2nd intake manifold just blew yesterday. The 1st one cost me $1443 or $1553. Todays cost me $800. This is Bull Shi-! That the dealer made a defective part & does not have to accept liability to replace all defective intake manifolds. They knew they were defective & they knew they would blow.Does anyone know any recourse for me. When I contacted Ford a few years ago they told me the class action lawsuit was 1 year ago & it was too late for me. I too was never notified that the part in my car was defective & it had not blown yet. But, it was a ticking time bomb!...

Do you drive a 2007 LINCOLN TOWN CAR?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
