IF THE BRACKET IS CRACKED, THE STABILITY OF THE VEHICLE MAY BE AFFECTED UNDER SEVERE DRIVING CONDITIONS. THIS COULD LEAD TO A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. |

Many problems with this car(06 Maxima SL) from ABS brakes engaging randomly.Had sensors replaced twice. Pads and rotors wear out quickly. Amp shorted out. Transmissions strains then jumps into gear. I only have 82,000 miles on it. Have never had as many problems with any other car I've owned. Nissan tries to get out of covering what it knows are factory defects. Refuse to do a recall on transmission problems even thoughthey know there is a problem with 04-06 Maximas.

I am a four time owner of Maximas. I've owned the 1989, the 1996, the 2000 and am currently owner of the 2004 SE model of Maxima. I have always loved, admired and relied strictly on Maximas as my choice vehicle. Until now though, I must say, I'm disappointed in the durability of my 2004. All of my previous Maximas have proved to be reliable. They've lasted with only common wear and tear issues until I was ready for a newer model. Two of my former Maximas I had until they reached over 100K miles, the other until about 90K miles and I've never had any major issues to fixing any major components of those cars. Now as far as my 2004 SE, I bought it at 27K miles, and I've treated it exactly as I had the previous. I serviced it regularly as I did my formers. However, I've come to question the reliablility of this model and have reached a point of disappointment. Upon taking it to a Nissan service center and at only 60K miles, a diagnostic test revealed that t
