My 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE has had the service engine soon light on since I purchased vehicle. I took it to my local dealer who ran diagnostics on it and said it was the camshaft position circuit sensor, (bank 1). The problem seems to be more electrical than mechanical--instruments only record what sensors send to them. It has now started dying in traffic which scares me as I am afraid I will have an accident. The dying in traffic problem is getting worse. So far I have been able to hit my flashers and struggle to glide it off the edge of the road to a stop when it happens causing me extreme anxiety while driving in any lane other than the furthest lane to the right. When I asked the dealer if they had seen other vehicles with the same or similar problems they said no. I asked them if my car model had any recalls and they said no again and told me that Dealer will not approve for repairs for camshaft but can repair passenger airbag. Sat around for an hour and was told they would call

Car has stalled mid drive 6 times within the past two days. Same issues as most of what I have been seeing online. My steering will lock up along with by breaks and I'll have to guide it to the side before getting help to jump start it. Sometimes it will start without needing to be jumped but its variable. Afraid to use highways as Im sure it will stall mid drive again
