RECALL FOR SEATS : MID/REAR ASSEMBLY
Nissan is recalling certain model year 2014 Versa Note vehicles manufactured April 23, 2013, through July 5, 2013. The rear seat latch bolts may have been manufactured incorrectly, reducing their strength.

| Description |
Nissan is recalling certain model year 2014 Versa Note vehicles manufactured April 23, 2013, through July 5, 2013. The rear seat latch bolts may have been manufactured incorrectly, reducing their strength. |
| Consequences |
If the rear seat latch bolts break, the rear seats may not perform as designed in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to back seat occupants. |
| Corrective action |
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear seat latch bolts, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 19, 2013. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261. |

Starting at 35,000 miles after the rental company released the car for sale, the A/C was completely discharged. Dealer recharged it and "checked for leaks" and 3 months later - warm air again.
The car often stumbles shifting in the lower gears. Engine revs are normal but the transmission seems to let go, re-engaged, stumble and then moves on. Very disturbing and yet two dealers said it's "normal".
I can say that the car itself is now reporting an average of 40 mpg which is wonderful. I don't believe it, but the numbers look nice on the dash.
