2006 SUZUKI RENO RECALL - #12V397000
RECALL FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM : WIRING : INTERIOR/UNDER DASH
Suzuki is recalling certain model year 2004-2006 Forenza and model year 2005-2006 Reno vehicles manufactured from September 23, 2003, through March 7, 2006. Increased resistance due to poor contact between the terminals of certain wires can generate heat that can melt the splice pack used to connect the power circuit wires for the headlamps. This can result in intermittent or total loss of low/high beam headlamp function.

Description |
Suzuki is recalling certain model year 2004-2006 Forenza and model year 2005-2006 Reno vehicles manufactured from September 23, 2003, through March 7, 2006. Increased resistance due to poor contact between the terminals of certain wires can generate heat that can melt the splice pack used to connect the power circuit wires for the headlamps. This can result in intermittent or total loss of low/high beam headlamp function. |
Consequences |
If the headlamps fail to function, this will lead to reduced driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. |
Corrective action |
Suzuki will notify owners, and Suzuki dealers will reconnect the affected wires with two heat-shrink crimps, free of charge. The safety recall began on September 25, 2012. Owners may contact Suzuki at 1-877-697-8985. |

I have a 2006 "Suzuki" Reno, well that's what I thought I had.. Actually it is a Daewoo, but they went out and Suzuki brought the Renos and stamped it with their name! IF I would of known that I would of never went for this car.. I loved Suzuki, but pissed off in the quality of this car and the fact that you would stamp it with your seal. The Suzuki that I know, has good quality cars..
I had problems with the air bag light. My car has 55,000 miles needs front struts, can only get them at the dealer or pay and arm and a leg for the work done at the shop. Why? Because it's a Daewoo and there's no after market pieces, I was told. Now, the back brakes need done.. When I put the car in park I hear a clicking sound from the gear shift.. WTF? Shame on you Suzuki for buying pieces of crap vehicles and then selling them as one of yours!
