7/7/2017 - Aaron Goldsmith
I recently received a fuel flange recall for my 2009 Touareg VR6 and I have made contact with my near by VW dealership. They told me that there is not a repair ready for this recall which is frustrating. I've seen virtually a million repair videos for this issue on earlier models and just wrap my head around the fact that any sort of repair isn't ready yet. What compounds my frustration is that the dealer tried to charge me $285 to tear out my rear seats to access the flange to "investigate" the issue further just to make sure that the flange is the real issue. I mean, it's on recall; how is it not an issue? I just feel like VW is just trying to get people thru the door to pay them some money regardless if I'm supposed to reimbursed whenever there is indeed a repair which VW doesn't know when that is. Thanks for listening.
