2022 FREIGHTLINER CASCADIA RECALL - #22V339000
RECALL FOR SERVICE BRAKES, AIR : ANTILOCK
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The antilock brakes (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) may be manually disabled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 121, "Air Brake Systems," and 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles."

| Description |
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The antilock brakes (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) may be manually disabled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 121, "Air Brake Systems," and 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles." |
| Consequences |
Disabled ABS and ESC may lead to loss of braking or stability control, which can increase the risk of a crash. |
| Corrective action |
Dealers will correct this feature, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 6, 2022. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-932. |
