Problem: CERTAIN CLASS 8 CHASSIS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." FRONT DRIVE AXLES WERE INSTALLED BY THE MACUNGIE MODIFICATION CENTER. WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE AXLE, THE OVERALL HEIGHT OF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS RAISED. Recall Details
Problem: THE INVOLVED TRUCKS HAVE PITMAN ARMS WITH TIMING MARKS AND SERRATIONS LOCATED 8 DEGREES OUT OF PROPER ALIGNMENT. WHEN THE CHASSIS IS RAISED TO THE MAXIMUM CONDITION WITH THE WHEELS SUSPENDED OR DROPPED INTO A DEEP HOLE, THE PITMAN ARM AND DRAG LINK CAN GO INTO TOGGLE POSITION. Recall Details
