IF THE STOP SIGNAL ARM IS NOT EXTENDED WHEN THE BUS IS LOADING OR UNLOADING PASSENGERS, IT MAY INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF VEHICLES PASSING A STOPPED SCHOOL BUS AND STRIKING PEDESTRIANS IN THE VICINITY OF THE BUS. |
