Description ON CERTAIN TRANSIT BUSES, TWO RETURN SPRINGS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL COULD BOTH BREAK.
Consequences IF BOTH SPRINGS FAIL, THE PEDAL WILL NOT RETURN TO THE IDLE POSITION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Corrective action OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN FEBRUARY 22, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT PREVOST AT 1-418-831-5432.
