Description |
Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 TPV Homeland Security gasoline vehicles manufactured November 2011 through July 2013. In the affected vehicles, the fuel transfer pump system may over pressurize the primary tank and cause the fuel tank cap to pop off and discharge fuel. |
Consequences |
If the tank discharges gasoline in the presence of an ignition source there is an increased risk of a fire. |
Corrective action |
Oshkosh will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel transfer wire harness and correct the installation of the fuel vent lines and electrical connections to prevent the tank from being over-pressurized, free of charge. The recall began on May 29, 2014. Owners may call Oshkosh customer service at 1-800-392-9921. |
