EXTENSIVE CHAFING CONDITIONS CAN CAUSE AN ELECTRICALSHORT AND RESULT IN A FIRE. ALSO, THE FUSE LINK WIRED TO THE IGNITION CIRCUITMAY PERMIT OVERLOADING IF A SHORT OCCURS. |
Corrective action |
CLAMP THE WIRING HARNESS AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS OF THE STEERING COLUMN. REPLACE THE FUSIBLE LINK IN THE CIRCUIT WITH AN APPROPRIATE AMPERAGE LOAD CAPACITY FUSIBLE LINK. |
