RECALL FOR STEERING

Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2012-2015 All American transit buses manufactured September 1, 2011 through May 16, 2014. In the affected vehicles, a clamp on the steering shaft may come in contact with the rubber boot at the floor.

Vehicle 2014 BLUE BIRD ALL AMERICAN Manufacturer Blue Bird Body Company Manufactured between 9/1/2011 - 5/16/2014 Recalled on 6/9/2014 Influenced by Blue Bird Body Company Owners Notified on 7/8/2014 # Affected 444 Recalled for STEERING   Description Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2012-2015 All American transit buses manufactured September 1, 2011 through May 16, 2014. In the affected vehicles, a clamp on the steering shaft may come in contact with the rubber boot at the floor. Consequences If the steering shaft clamp comes into contact with the rubber boot, additional effort would be needed to steer the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective action Blue Bird will notify owners, and dealers will relocate the rubber boot and install a new steering shaft clamp, free of charge. The recall began on July 8, 2014.
