VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES.SYSTEM: POWER TRAIN; DRIVE TRANSFER BOX.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: A FAILURE OF THIS SHAFT WOULD CAUSE AN IMMEDIATE LOSSOF DRIVING POWER. THE VEHICLE WILL APPEAR TO COAST. THIS COULD CAUSE A VEHICLEACCIDENT IN THE PRESENCE OF TRAFFIC.NOTE: IF FAILURE OCCURS, THE IGNITION KEY SHOULD NOT BE TURNED OFF UNTIL THEVEHICLE HAS STOPPED COMPLETELY. THIS CAUSES LOSS OF POWER TO POWER BRAKES ANDSTEERING AND MAY ALSO LOCK THE STEERING WHEEL. |
