I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. The service 4 wheel drive light kept coming on. Took to dealer for diagnostic check and they stated car computer would not communicate with theirs and they needed more time. The car would go into 4 wheel lock driving down the road. The book said turn on ignition switch, work the 4 wheel drive selector switch. It would then go back to all wheel drive. Wife was backing up went into 4 whl drive she went through the procedure..but now with motor running cannot put into park..(grinds). Turned car off placed into park. Selector switch light shows in neutral.
Is this problem part of the recall ?
We bought this vehicle new.

Do you drive a 2006 DODGE DURANGO?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
