8/20/2013 - Carol Hostetler
I purchased a 2009 GMC Acadia February 2013. The car looks beautiful. It has a smooth and quiet ride.
The CD player quit working 3 times and the dealership replaced it. Then when I started using the air conditioner it built up condensation on the drivers side floor mat. Upon further investigation there were staples under the car mats on both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. The earphones for the dvd and cd were dangling on wires and duck taped.
The greatest issue I have with the first GMC car that I have ever purchased is a safety issue. The car rolls both forward and backward when in gear and on an incline. I put the Acadia in reverse at the end of my driveway to back out of the way of an oncoming car, and the Acadia rolled forward. I live in a rural area where there are many roads that come to a stop at an incline. This is indeed a safety issue and I do not feel safe driving this car.

Initially started with the interior light (the one that stays on as you enter or exit the vehicle) stopped working and now the interior light are coming on and off.
Techs know there is a problem; having a hard time finding answer to as why it is occuring and solution.
Any suggestiions.
Sincerely,
Lisa Gohn

Own an '08 Acadia. 12 months into ownership, power steering failed while driving in a rain storm....continues to be an issue - GM cannot seem to fix it...am looking to trade the car - not for another GM.
