BREAKAGE OF THE MOUNTING BRACKET IN A SEVERE CRASH COULD ALLOW THE SEAT BELT TO NOT PROPERLY RESTRAIN THE PASSENGER AND POTENTIALLY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH. |
| Corrective action |
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 17, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MITSUBISHI AT 1-800-222-0037. |
