VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SCHOOL BUSES.SYSTEM: STRUCTURE; REAR EMERGENCY DOOR LOCK.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THIS WOULD ALLOW THE ENGINE TO BE STARTED WITH THEIGNITION SWITCH WHEN THE REAR EMERGENCY DOOR WAS LOCKED. IF THE DOOR WAS LOCKEDDURING VEHICLE OPERATION, PASSENGERS COULD NOT EXIT QUICKLY AND SAFELY IN CASEOF EMERGENCY AND SERIOUS INJURIES COULD RESULT. |
