Chrysler is recalling certain Mopar Outside Foldaway Heated Power Left Mirrors

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Outside Foldaway Heated Power Left Mirrors, part number 68147863AS and Mirror Replacement Glass, part number 68050299AA. The driver side mirror glass can detach from the backing plate and no longer provide a reflective surface. As such, these items fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 4,768 units affected.

- Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Outside Foldaway Heated Power Left Mirrors, part number 68147863AS and Mirror Replacement Glass, part number 68050299AA. The driver side mirror glass can detach from the backing plate and no longer provide a reflective surface. - Consequeces:
- A missing driver side mirror glass reduces visibility and increases the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver side mirror or, if already installed, replace the glass, free of charge. The recall began November 24, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W71.
