Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain Shepphard Gears, with part number 3875726, sold as replacement parts for certain S-Series 2.0 vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 143 units affected.

Description:
Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain Shepphard Gears, with part number 3875726, sold as replacement parts for certain S-Series 2.0 vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.
Consequeces:
A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:
Dealers will replace the steering gear, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 27, 2022. Owners may contact Oshkosh's customer service at 1-888-686-7278.
