Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain engine block heaters, with part numbers CV6Z-6A051-CA and CV6Z-6A051-AA, sold as accessory parts for certain 2013-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with 2.0L engines. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,633 units affected.

- Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until their vehicle is remedied. Dealers will contact customers with instructions to return the part for a full refund or dealers will replace the block heater once a newly designed part is available, free of charge.
