Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (CSA) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly secured to its mounting bracket, causing an improper air bag deployment.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,381 units affected.

- Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (CSA) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly secured to its mounting bracket, causing an improper air bag deployment.
- Consequeces:
- Improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will inspect and replace the CSA assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 13, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26TK02 and 26TH02.
