CUMMINS X15 Recalls

Sep 23, 2024 – Cummins, Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain X15 diesel engines with part number D103019BX03, Cummins X15 re-manufactured engines with part number DR7989-RX, Cummins X15 fuel pump barrel service kits with part number 631058000, 6310580PX, X15 fuel pump service assemblies, with part numbers 559463000, 559462500, 5594630PX, 5594625PX, and X15 overhaul kits, with part numbers 632445200RX and 632445500RX. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall.

Jul 28, 2022 – Cummins, Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain X15, X12, L9, and B6.7 diesel engines. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short-circuit, causing the engine to stall.

Feb 04, 2021 – Cummins, Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain X15 diesel engines, part number D103109BX03. The capscrews that attach the flywheel to the crankshaft may have been improperly torqued, allowing the flywheel to detach.

Aug 10, 2018 – Cummins Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain ISX15 diesel engines, part number D103012BX03, and X15 diesel engines, part number D103016BX03. These engines have nylon fuel lines and were built with a banjo bolt containing an integrated single screen filter on the fuel pump. The fuel pump cooling circuit screens may become restricted by debris from filtration material causing the fuel line to burst when the vehicle is operated under certain driving conditions, such as on a long down-hill grade.

Jun 20, 2017 – Cummins, Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain X15 heavy duty diesel engines used in trucks, fire trucks and recreational vehicles. The affected engines have a fuel pump whose drive gear may slip on its drive shaft, resulting in a loss of fuel pump function.
