Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is recalling certain Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (Bridgestone) is recalling certain Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia P245/60R18, Dueler H/L Alenza 275/55R20, Ecopia H/L 422 Plus 235/55R20, Turanza EL440 235/60R18, and Firestone Destination LE3 225/65R17 tires with DOT code 2821. These tires may have been manufactured with a pinhole in the outboard side of the tire. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 18,028 units affected.

Description:: Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (Bridgestone) is recalling certain Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia P245/60R18, Dueler H/L Alenza 275/55R20, Ecopia H/L 422 Plus 235/55R20, Turanza EL440 235/60R18, and Firestone Destination LE3 225/65R17 tires with DOT code 2821. These tires may have been manufactured with a pinhole in the outboard side of the tire. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
Consequeces:: Tires containing a pinhole may slowly leak air, and the continued loss of air may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
Corrective action:: Bridgestone will notify owners and replace affected tires with a comparable Bridgestone or Firestone brand tire, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 17, 2021. Owners may contact BATO customer service at 1-800-847-3272.

BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA Complaints
Tire size P255/55R20. I purchased 4 new tires February 2023 from Jim Dobson Ford in Winamac, In. I've taken my car back there at least 4 if not 5 times because of vibration. I finally took my car to a different facility and they showed me where 2 of my tires that was in the rear are separating and need replaced. I feel these tires was defective from the start, my car was like riding on air before I purchased these tires. They was supposed to be a 65,000 mile tire, they have 40,000 miles on them. I tired to utilize the warranty but the manager at Jim Dobson will not file warranty on them because he said Bridgestone will not honor warranty. These tires are a safety hazard, I have parked my car until I can get different tires put on them;

P235/65r18, 106v 3 of the 4 tires are bubbled out lose air and are constantly feeling as if they are hydroplaning with lack of ice water or snow, constantly having to fill the tires with air. One has popped completely and am driving on a spare tire. It is unsafe to drive, 33 of the 4 tpms sensors have quit working as well:;
BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL440 Complaints
Dear Bridgestone Customer Care Team, I am contacting you regarding factory-installed Bridgestone Turanza tires, size 235/45R18, on a 2025 Toyota Camry. Despite normal use and routine maintenance, the tires have experienced extreme premature tread wear: At 20,000 miles: three tires 4/32”, one tire 3/32” At 25,000 miles: three tires 3/32”, one tire 2/32” (unsafe) Bridgestone Turanza tires are advertised as long-life touring tires (50,000–65,000 miles expected). Reaching unsafe tread depth at only 25,000 miles is far below expectations. I am requesting a prorated replacement or reimbursement based on remaining tread life. Please advise if you require additional documentation or inspection. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your prompt response.;
FIRESTONE DESTINATION LE3 Complaints
The contact owns a 2021 Mazda CX-5 equipped with Firestone Tires, Tire Line: Destination LE3, Tire Size: 225/55/R19, DOT Numbers: 17XEFLE320725 and 17XEFLE321524. While the vehicle was parked, the contact was informed by a co-worker that there was a bubble on the rear passenger's side tire. The contact inspected the tire and noticed that there was a bubble that was two inches deep and 3 inches long on the side wall of the tire with DOT Number: 17XEFLE321524. The vehicle was taken to Tire Plus, where the tire was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, there was an abnormal popping sound heard, and the TPMS warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact noticed that there was a 2-inch long crack in the tread of the rear driver's side tire, the tire with DOT Number: 17XEFLE320725. The tire was replaced with the spare tire. The vehicle was then taken to Tire Plus, where the contact was awaiting the tire replacement. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The tire failure mileage was approximately 15,000. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 64,000. The VIN was not available.;
