Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company - Recall #78T013000
– THE INVOLVED TIRES CONTAIN PLY ENDINGS IN THE OUTER TWO LAYERS OF PLY FABRIC WHICH DO NOT EXTEND UNDER THE BEAD BUNDLE TO THE BEAD TOE. THIS CAUSES THE BEAD AREA OF THE TIRE TO CHAFE AGAINST THE METAL RIM AND SLOWLY LEAK AIR.

– THE INVOLVED TIRES FAILED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 119, "NEW PNEUMATIC TIRES FOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS", DUE TO SEPARATION IN THE SHOULDER AREA. THIS CONDITION WILL RESULT IN VIBRATION AND SUDDEN LOSS OF AIR FROM TIRE.
