Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 vehicles mounted on a Freightliner chassis. Due to improper installation, the air supply line of the front brakes is susceptible to kinking.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,807 units affected.

- Description:
- Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 vehicles mounted on a Freightliner chassis. Due to improper installation, the air supply line of the front brakes is susceptible to kinking.
- Consequeces:
- Overtime, the front brake line could become kinked leading to a loss of front brake control, increasing the risk of crash.
- Corrective action:
- Altec will notify owners, and will repair the vehicles, free of charge. The safety recall began on January 4, 2013. Owners may contact Altec Industries at 1-877-462-5832.
