Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and Mountain Aire motor homes manufactured November 26, 2013, to November 11, 2014. The wiper blades may separate from the wiper arm connectors, especially when the wipers are used at the high speed setting.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 153 units affected.

Description:: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and Mountain Aire motor homes manufactured November 26, 2013, to November 11, 2014. The wiper blades may separate from the wiper arm connectors, especially when the wipers are used at the high speed setting.
Consequeces:: If the wiper blades separate from the wiper arms, the driver may have reduced visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: The recall began on March 17, 2015. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.

2015 NEWMAR ESSEX Complaints
The contact owns a 2015 Newmar Essex RV. The contact stated the RV trailer was parked plugged in an RV local dealer, in which the dealer had notified the contact that the trailer caught on fire due to the inverter system melting down in the trailer which caused a lot of black smoke installation damage in the interior of the trailer and fire damage to the undercarriage of the trailer. No one was injured. The contact was unaware of how the fire was extinguished. The contact was unaware of the fire department came out or a fire report was filed. The local dealer diagnosed the inverter system melted while the trailer was plugged in and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 40,000.;
2015 NEWMAR MOUNTAIN AIRE Complaints
I PURCHASED THE UNIT WITH 25,000 MILES. THE DEF SYSTEM FAILED ENROUTE TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM AND FAILED AGAIN AFTER APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES AFTER REPAIR. THE ENTIRE DEF HEADER WAS REPLACED. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES IN TO DERATE. MY MOTORHOME IS 53,000 LBS AND 45'. ADD A TOW VEHICLE AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I WAS HEADING TO LAS VEGAS NV FROM QUARTZITE, AZ WHEN THIS HAPPEND ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY. NO PLACE TO PULL OVER TO EVEN CHECK ANYTHING. THESE DEF SYSTEMS CONTINUE TO BE EXTREMELY PROBLEMATIC. THERE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATION IN TO HOW TO KEEP THESE SYSTEMS OPERATING PROPERLY.;
