Thor Motor Coach is recalling certain model year 2016 Tuscany XTE

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Tuscany XTE, Palazzo, and 2016-2017 Venetian motorhomes manufactured September 9, 2015, to January 12, 2016. The front sway bar mounting brackets may not fit properly on the axle causing the mounting bolts to bend or loosen.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 122 units affected.

Description:: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Tuscany XTE, Palazzo, and 2016-2017 Venetian motorhomes manufactured September 9, 2015, to January 12, 2016. The front sway bar mounting brackets may not fit properly on the axle causing the mounting bolts to bend or loosen.
Consequeces:: If the sway bar bolts loosen, the sway bar may detach from the axle, affecting the handling and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: TMC will notify owners, and Detroit Axle service centers, subsidiaries of Daimler Trucks, the manufacturer of the chassis, will modify the sway bar mounting, free of charge. The recall began on July 22, 2016. 2016 THOR PALAZZO Complaints
A bracket holding the front fiberglass cap or facia to the frame came loose and fell off on the interstate I-94 in Wisconsin, making a big clunk under our motorcoach causing several cars to swerve avoiding the metal bracket laying in the road. We had to pull over on the busy interstate to assess any damage to our coach. Luckily we came out unscathed. After looking into this further, I noticed that the screws holding the bracket on were broken off in the metal frame. I looked at the other bracket on the driver's side and the screws were broken off in the frame too and being held by one wood screw on the fiberglass facia. It seems that the wrong type of fasteners ate being used causing this failure;
2016 THOR MOTOR COACH TUSCANY XTE Complaints
While traveling the outer skin of a lower compartment door folded off. This occurred in heavy traffic during a vicious windstorm. The repair costs just under $7000. During our first trip after the repair, the skin came off again-this time at a slow speed and with normal weather. On your website, there is a recall for the identical problem in the Thor line of motorcoaches but not the Tuscany. October 29, 2021, NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V845 which reads: "A door skin that separates during transit can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash." I am now looking at another replacement and have received an estimate of over $8000 (explained by inflation and shortage of repair technicians). Please consider extending this same recall for all models of these coaches as they are all produced at the same plant with the same doors by the same personnel. I called your office with this matter and was given an ODI# 11502280. Thank you.;
2017 THOR MOTOR COACH VENETIAN Complaints
The contact owns a 2017 Thor Motor Coach Venetian RV built on a 2017 Freightliner Chassis. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the bathroom vent window was suddenly ejected from the vehicle. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the adhesive securing the vent window to the RV had failed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 25,400.;
