Terex South Dakota (TSD) is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 Terex TC, and TCX hybrid electric trucks manufactured June 8, 2009, to July 30, 2014 and equipped with aerial devices. The affected vehicles may be improperly wired, and as a result, the aerial boom may move unintentionally when the hydraulic tools are being used.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 6 units affected.

Description:
Terex South Dakota (TSD) is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 Terex TC, and TCX hybrid electric trucks manufactured June 8, 2009, to July 30, 2014 and equipped with aerial devices. The affected vehicles may be improperly wired, and as a result, the aerial boom may move unintentionally when the hydraulic tools are being used.
Consequeces:
Inadvertent boom movement can cause the platform to strike objects in the work area, increasing the risk of injury to the operator.
Corrective action:
TSD will notify owners, and dealers will install a diode and alter the wiring to correct the issue, free of charge. The recall began on November 20, 2016. Owners may contact TSD customer service at 1-800-982-8975. TSD's number for this recall is SN631.
