Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2017 Ford F-150

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks with manually-adjusted front passenger seats. The seat belt anchor may not be adequately welded to the seat cushion frame. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages," and 207, "Seating Systems."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 504 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks with manually-adjusted front passenger seats. The seat belt anchor may not be adequately welded to the seat cushion frame. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages," and 207, "Seating Systems."
Consequeces:: The seat belt buckle weld may fail, preventing the occupants from being properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger manual seat track, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 6, 2017. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 17C17.

2017 FORD F-150 Complaints
The vehicle has a ten speed transmission. It started with the transmission making minor down shifts from 3 to 1 and then 7 to 1. Without any engine warning light. It has subsequently started a severe shift from 3 to 1 and 7 to 1 and the engine light has now come on. This creates a dangerous situation when it down shifts from 7-1 when your speed is 45 mph of above. I contacted a dealership regarding a repair but was told there is no recall and it would cost $215 to diagnose and from $4,500 - $8,000 for the repair. It is a known issue to the Ford dealers but without a recall they are gouging the consumers who is at risk of accident.;
2017 FORD F-250 SD Complaints
On 5/8/2026 at 1555 hours, while driving at normal freeway speed under normal driving conditions, vehicle began an exhaust system regeneration cycle. During the course of the region cycle, vehicle began to smoke excessively and realizing this wan not normal, I was able to yield to the right shoulder of the roadway. Almost immediately the vehicle ignited on fire and completely burned to the ground. The fire appeared to have commenced in the engine compartment, driver side near the firewall. The location of which appears to be consistent with reports of fuel filter failures I have read about in the past. The resulting fire ignited nearby brush which burned several hundred feet of brush and resulted in the spillage of diesel fuel and coolant which combined from the resulting melting of the coolant system and fuel tank and lines. This incident put both me and surrounding communities at risk, particularly from the resulting fire and HAZMAT spill. The vehicle was in good running condition prior to this incident. The incident was investigated by the Templeton California Highway Patrol.;
2017 FORD F-350 SD Complaints
I have a 2017 ford f350 diesel 6.7 and replaced the low pressure fuel pump in 2022 at about 57000 miles. Then again in July of 2026 the fuel pump has had to be replaced again at 68000 miles. I read that many 2022 ford vehicles were recalled in that year for a bad fuel pump. So I think I might have been given a bad fuel pump from that year 2022 and now its bad again. This is a know problem for fords I dont understand why there is not a recall for these pumps. Ford is been building bad pumps for a long time and are getting away with it, A fuel pump should not have to be replaced after 3 years. The work was all done at the Beach Ford Dealership in myrtle beach sc 29575.;
2017 FORD F-450 SD Complaints
TL* THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2017 FORD F-450. THE CONSUMER STATED HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY THE DRIVE SHAFT SHOUT OUT AND THE CAD FELL APART IN TWO PIECES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO (VICTOR FORD INC 1400 US-12, WAUCONDA, IL 60084) THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT HAS LITTLE INFORMATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THIS FAILURE. THE CONSUMER REFERENCED THE FAILURE TO (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V212000 POWER TRAIN) VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. 2017 FORD F-550 SD Complaints
WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK DOWN THE INTERSTATE THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE AND THE TRUCK WILL BEGIN TO LOSE SPEED AND THE ENGINE WILL DIE, RESULTING IN DIFFICULT STEERING AND BRAKING. THE FORD DEALER HAS INDICATED THIS ISSUE IS BEING CAUSED BY WATER CONTAMINATION IN THE FUEL, ALTHOUGH THE WATER IN FUEL LIGHT HAS NEVER BEEN ON AND THE DEALERSHIP NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE ANY CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE OF WATER CONTAMINATION.;
