Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace, 2016-2017 Jaguar XJ and 2018 Jaguar XE vehicles. The instrument cluster (IC) may intermittently go blank.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 7,036 units affected.

Description:: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace, 2016-2017 Jaguar XJ and 2018 Jaguar XE vehicles. The instrument cluster (IC) may intermittently go blank.
Consequeces:: A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H056.

electrical power steering motors, failed. I quickly became unable to turn the vehicle at a rate which was necessary to drive safely. Well seeing how I still turn the vehicle on and it still says power steering failure or loss of power or whatever it is yes. There are warning lamps and messages on the dash it has not been inspected by a manufacturer police or insurance representative No they anything prior to it;

The contact owns a 2018 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65-70 mph on the highway, the gear fault indicator light illuminated. The transaxle fractured and the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact was able to move to the shoulder. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the local dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 87, 827.;
