Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2008-2018 Aerial Devices equipped with aluminum work platforms. The platform mounting holes may fail, causing the platform to move unexpectedly.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 530 units affected.

- Description:
- Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2008-2018 Aerial Devices equipped with aluminum work platforms. The platform mounting holes may fail, causing the platform to move unexpectedly.
- Consequeces:
- If the platform moves unexpectedly, it can increase the risk of injury.
- Corrective action:
- Altec will notify owners, and dealers will install a bracket reinforcing kit, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 17, 2018. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 689.
