Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. is recalling certain 2016-2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic, 2018 GLC350e and GLC63 AMG 4Matic and 2017-2018 GLC43 AMG 4Matic vehicles. The seat belt latch plates (the parts that insert into the buckles) for the outboard rear seats may retract into the interior paneling, preventing the occupants from being able to use the seat belts.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 4,702 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic, 2018 GLC350e and GLC63 AMG 4Matic and 2017-2018 GLC43 AMG 4Matic vehicles. The seat belt latch plates (the parts that insert into the buckles) for the outboard rear seats may retract into the interior paneling, preventing the occupants from being able to use the seat belts.
Consequeces:: If the rear seat passengers cannot fasten their seat belts, they have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Corrective action:: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will install felt strips between the C-pillar and rear side paneling, free of charge. The recall began November 2, 2018. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2018100002.

I smell gas in my car. There is a recall for the fuel parts on the 2019. I have a 2017 with the same issue.;
2018 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC43 Complaints
In May 2023 a black plastic portion of the roof blew off the car. The plastic part that blew off was around the sunroof. There was no wind or blow to the car or anything like that; there was no prior warning or error message; there were no symptoms in advance. The part simply blew off the vehicle. The part is not available for inspection. Others were put at risk because the portion that blew off could have hit them or their vehicles. If the parts obstructed someone's view, there could have been an accident. The dealer has inspected and recently repaired the vehicle and can confirm the incident. No others such as the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives have inspected the vehicle.;
2018 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC63 Complaints
I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 08/2018 WITH 900MILES CERTIFIED PRE OWN. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALER 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR ENGINE LIGHT. EACH TIME THEY HAVE KEPT IT FOR OVER 2 WKS. THIS LAST TIME THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON IN MAY 2020. WE WERE ON FREEWAY GOING ABOUT 70MPH WHEN THE ENGINE WENT ON AND THE CAR LOST POWER AND CAME TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP IN MIDDLE OF FREEWAY. I HIT MY HEAD ON FRONT WINDSHIELD DUE TO THE IMPACT. THE DEALER STATES IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED BUT SAME PROBLEMS OCCUR ALMOST MONTHLY. *TR;

Error code P052E71 on a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC means the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Regulator Valve Performance has a malfunction, specifically that the partial-load ventilation valve actuator is blocked. By research, i found that this is a very common problem on those engines, and no recalls from the company to fix their fault.;
