Volvo Car USA LLC (Volvo) is recalling certain 2018-2019 XC60 and S90 vehicles. The driver and passenger front seat rail rear flange nuts may not have been installed during assembly.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,297 units affected.

Description:: Volvo Car USA LLC (Volvo) is recalling certain 2018-2019 XC60 and S90 vehicles. The driver and passenger front seat rail rear flange nuts may not have been installed during assembly.
Consequeces:: If the nuts are missing, in the event of a crash, the front seat structure and position may be affected, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front seat rails for missing flange nuts, installing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 7, 2019. Owners may contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo's number for this recall is R19931.

2019 VOLVO S90 Complaints
Component: Electrical / Instrument Cluster The vehicle experienced a failure of the digital instrument cluster while driving. The instrument panel intermittently malfunctioned, including going blank, freezing, or failing to display critical information such as vehicle speed, warning indicators, and system alerts. This issue occurred without warning and created a safety concern because the driver was unable to reliably monitor essential driving information. At times, the display did not function properly, which impacted the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle, especially while in motion. The problem was not consistent and occurred intermittently, making it difficult to anticipate or manage. Restarting the vehicle sometimes temporarily restored functionality. The instrument cluster was later identified as defective and required replacement by Volvo. The failure of this component raises safety concerns due to the loss of critical driver information while operating the vehicle.;
2019 VOLVO XC60 Complaints
I was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision involving my Volvo. The collision was essentially a head-on impact that occurred following a medical emergency. The vehicle sustained significant damage in the collision and is essentially totaled. During the crash, all of the vehicle's airbags DID NOT deploy with the exception of the right curtain airbag. I am concerned that the airbags did not deploy during this severe collision and may have failed to function as designed. As a result of the collision, I sustained significant injuries, including a broken tibia (which required surgery) and four fractured vertebrae in my back. I am reporting this incident to Volvo because I am concerned about the performance and deployment of the vehicle's supplemental restraint system, specifically the failure of all of the airbags, including the steering wheel air bag, to deploy during what was essentially a head-on collision. I would like Volvo to investigate the vehicle, including the airbag system, sensors, control module, crash data, and the reason the airbags did not deploy. I would also like the findings of the investigation documented and provided to me.;
