Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Challenger, Miramar, Magnitude, Outlaw, Omni, and Palazzo motorhomes. The vehicle control system software may cause the slide-out room to move unexpectedly.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,554 units affected.

Description:: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Challenger, Miramar, Magnitude, Outlaw, Omni, and Palazzo motorhomes. The vehicle control system software may cause the slide-out room to move unexpectedly.
Consequeces:: Unexpected movement of the slide-out room can increase the risk of a injury.
Corrective action:: TMC will notify owners, and dealers will update the affected software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 28, 2019. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000170.

2019 THOR PALAZZO Complaints
I HAVE NO REAR TAIL LIGHTS AND THE LEFT REAR TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK. WHEN I ENTER MY VIN TO CHECK FOR RECALLS, IT SAYS INVALID PARAMETER. I TOOK IT TO FREIGHT LINER OF KC ON APRIL 18TH, 2019, THEY KEPT IT FOR 8 DAYS, SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, IT WAS THOR'S PROBLEM, AND REQUIRED THAT I PAY THEM A $524 DIAGNOSTIC FEE BEFORE I COULD GET THE VEHICLE BACK.;

WHILE TRAVELING ON A INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. THE MOTOR SHUT OFF AND WE LOST ALL POWER BRAKES AND STEERING. ALL POWER INSIDE AND OUTSIDE SHUT OFF SO WE HAD NO LIGHTS ON THE EXTERIOR TO SEE OR SIGNAL OTHER VEHICLES. I HAD TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE.;
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH MAGNITUDE Complaints
My front cap has been leaking for about a year, and I have had it "repaired" three times already under warranty. It is still leaking, and, in fact, it may be getting worse. This cap contains, among other things, a nearly queen-sized bed for sleeping. I have read on Thor forums that countless other owners are having similar problems, which stems from the front cap not being secured/installed correctly. This includes missing seals and/or missing screws. My fear is that this cap will continue to sag/loosen and eventually fall/break off while I am driving, or while someone is sleeping in this area. This potentially could result in fatalities / loss of human life.;
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH MIRAMAR Complaints
While driving on the highway at 60 MPH in a thunderstorm, the passenger windshield wiper collided with the driver's windshield wiper and became entangled with each other. I completely lost all wiper function and could no longer see the road. This was a life-threatening situation, with traffic all around us, and luckily, I was able to pull off the highway after about a quarter of a mile until the rain subsided. My wife and two grandchildren were in the RV at the time and this could have been a disaster. I called Thor this morning and they are tight-lipped about this problem happening to others, but I see in online Thor forums that even after an earlier recall, it is still happening to more recent models like mine. In my case, the splines on the passenger wiper arm are totally stripped, as are the spices on the wiper arm pivot shaft. The driver's wiper was OK after taking it off and re-aligning it, but may not hold since those splines were also partially stripped. Thor needs to take responsibility for putting in such an unreliable wiper system which is manufactured by Wexco Industries. I'm now stuck with $500 in parts (more if the driver's side also needs replacement), not including labor, to "fix" their poorly designed wiper system, not to mention the near disaster we experienced.;
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH OMNI Complaints
On the Thor forum noticed others with an Omni/Magnatude complaining of the front cap overhead bunk are coming loose from the coach, inspected mine and had the same issue going on, screws pushing out through the molding and my front cap also bounced a lot and rattled and heard loud popping noises coming from it. Contacted Thor and their response was, I am out of my 1 year warranty by a few months and they were not going to cover it under the structural warranty. I took the molding off the outside of the coach that covers the screws that hold the front cap on, there are 10 on each side, on the left side found 7 broke off and the other 3 had backed out, on the right side found 6 broke off and the other 4 backed out. Found multiple holes where screws were put in and broke off from using screw guns. Removed the interior trim and bunk to find the screws that attach the cab to the cap, found small self tapping screws screwed into thin sheet metal, also found the aluminum frame for the bunk was only tack welded together in spots and the welds were coming apart. Where the cap attaches on the roof found all of the screws backing out through the sealant. Where the cap overlaps the side of the coach there was no sealant/adhesive. This is a dangerous situation that could cause the front cap to come off while driving that could cause a wreck. The cap is attached very poorly.;
