Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2019 Lexus LS500

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2019 Lexus LS500, LC500, ES300h, UX250h, LS500h, Toyota Prius, RAV4 HV, 2019-2020 Toyota Prius Prime, and 2020 Corolla HV vehicles. The brake booster pump may fail causing a deactivation of the Vehicle Stability Control system and a loss of braking assist. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 6,925 units affected.

Description:: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2019 Lexus LS500, LC500, ES300h, UX250h, LS500h, Toyota Prius, RAV4 HV, 2019-2020 Toyota Prius Prime, and 2020 Corolla HV vehicles. The brake booster pump may fail causing a deactivation of the Vehicle Stability Control system and a loss of braking assist. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."
Consequeces:: Deactivation of the vehicle stability control system or a loss of braking assist increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake booster pump, free of charge. The recall began September 20, 2019. Toyota owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 and Lexus owners may contact Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are K1L/K0L. Lexus' numbers for this recall are K2F/KLF.

2019 LEXUS LS HYBRID Complaints
I have a 2019 LS500 I’ve been hearing noise from my tires and Also my tire shredded literally at 3k miles. It took manufacture 6 months after that to recall all 4 tires. I was very scared to drive the car. When it happened I was going 80. The car swerved all over the highway. If there had been a car near me it most likely would have been fatal. The absolute most terrifying experience I have ever been through. I feel they should have replaced all the sorry [XXX] run-flats way sooner I drive all over us. Buying this Lexus 500 LS has this far been a horrible DANGEROUS mistake. I need this problem fixed or I need my full money back. 2019 LEXUS LS500 Complaints
The contact owns a 2019 Lexus LS500. The contact stated that he pulled into his driveway, placed the gear in park, got out of the vehicle to get something but without warning the vehicle rolled backward over the contact, dragging the contact to the end of the driveway where the vehicle crashed into the curb. No Air Bags deployed. The contact sustained an injury to the left side of his body, fractured ankle, fractured ribs left and right side of the body, laceration to the forehead. Medical attention was contacted and did take the contact to the hospital where he was treated for his injury. The vehicle was not towed. The vehicle at this time was located at the contact's residence. The vehicle body received damages to the driver-side door panel and the door. The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure however no further assistance was provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that no recalls were under the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 10,200. The VIN was not available.;
2019 LEXUS UX HYBRID Complaints
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 LEXUS UX250 HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON EXITING A CAR WASH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE UPON DEPRESSION WITHOUT WARNING. DUE TO FAILURE, THE CONTACT COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DUE TO THE CRASH. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO LEXUS OF PALM BEACH (5700 OKEECHOBEE BLVD, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33417) WHERE THE BLACK BOX INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT THE CONTACT'S FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR AND THAT THE BRAKES WERE NEVER DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT CONTESTED THE FINDINGS OF THE REPORT STATING THAT MORE DAMAGE WOULD HAVE CAUSED TO THE VEHICLE HAD HIS FOOT BEEN DEPRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR. HE ALSO MENTIONED THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE DURING THE ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED FOR MINOR DAMAGE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,500.;
