Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Entegra Qwest and 2019-2021 Jayco Melbourne and Melbourne Prestige Class C motorhomes built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The Operator's Manual may not contain the correct information about how the automatic parking function ("Auto-P") operates.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 666 units affected.

Description:: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Entegra Qwest and 2019-2021 Jayco Melbourne and Melbourne Prestige Class C motorhomes built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The Operator's Manual may not contain the correct information about how the automatic parking function ("Auto-P") operates.
Consequeces:: If the driver relies on the Auto-P function as described in the Operator's Manual, vehicle rollaway or movement may occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Jayco will notify owners, and Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealers will provide the correct description of the Auto-P function for the Operator's Manual, free of charge. This recall began May 19, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137 or Sprinter service at 1-877-762-8267. The booklet with correct information is also available online, free of charge.

2020 ENTEGRA QWEST Complaints
I am reporting a severe, repeating, and life-threatening safety defect involving the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis on my 2020 Entegra Qwest motorhome. The vehicle intermittently and without warning drops into "limp mode" while traveling at highway speeds. When this occurs, the vehicle suffers a sudden, drastic loss of propulsion, forcing the motorhome down to dangerously low speeds on active, high-speed roadways. This defect has created imminent near-crash conditions on multiple occasions, exposing my family and surrounding drivers to extreme danger. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized repair facility five separate times for this exact issue. The mechanics have been completely unable to diagnose or permanently repair the root cause of this failure, and the vehicle remains inherently dangerous to operate. We’ve asked Mercedes to buy it back or pay it off and they tell us too bad so sad can’t help you but they also said on the last invoice that they can’t fix it. I’m not sure what date to put below here on the additional details because it happened five times so I’ll show the last incident.;

2021 JAYCO MELBOURNE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO SIM CARD UPDATE SAFETY RECALL. THE CONSUMER IS IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING THE ABOVE MENTIONED VEHICLE BUT CAN NOT DO SO DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE NEEDS MERCEDES BENZ TO ISSUE A RECALL CLEARANCE LETTER SO THE RV CAN CROSS THE US/CANADIAN BORDER.;
2021 JAYCO MELBOURNE PRESTIGE Complaints
We have a brand new 2021 Jayco Melbourne that we've had for almost a year. We just took a trip and opened our bins underneath to find that in transit something shifted and TURNED THE LIGHT ON IN THE BIN and it burned the plastic cover of the light AND it burned a plastic tarp! Had it been touching something else, our entire unit could have gone up in flames! It seems that the bin that is directly UNDER THE BED accessible from OUTSIDE the RV has THREE LIGHT SWITCHES on the INSIDE WALLS of that bin. There is NO COVER over that switches. The bulbs in those lights are old style lights that get extremely hot. When things move during transit they can bump those switches and TURN THEM ON. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW THE LIGHT IS ON. (In my Fleetwood the Cago bin light switch was INSIDE THE RV and an indicator told you when it was on). Not so in this Jayco. So the light can get bumped on, you don't know it's on and it starts a fire! It melted and burned the cover over the light and it burned a tarp. Luckily the tarp mostly melted and never caught fire or we would have all DIED! THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. They either need to replace ALL these bulbs with LEDs that don't get hot OR put a COVER over that switch so that it cannot be accidentally turned on when contents in the bin shift during driving. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING ON AN RV THIS UNSAFE!;
