Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. is recalling certain 2020 E450

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 E450, AMG E63S, GLC300, AMG GLC43, AMG GLC63, AMG GT53, and AMG GT63 vehicles equipped with rear seatbacks that can be electrically unlatched. The left-rear seatback latch may not be strong enough to withstand certain loads. If cargo were to strike the left-rear seatback, the latch may fail.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,352 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 E450, AMG E63S, GLC300, AMG GLC43, AMG GLC63, AMG GT53, and AMG GT63 vehicles equipped with rear seatbacks that can be electrically unlatched. The left-rear seatback latch may not be strong enough to withstand certain loads. If cargo were to strike the left-rear seatback, the latch may fail.
Consequeces:: In the event of a crash, if the left-rear seatback latch fails, it can increase the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the left-rear seatback latch, free of charge. The recall began August 17, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020070004.

2020 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG E63S Complaints
I was operating my car on a 4-lane highway early in the morning, conditions were sunny and weather was approximately 50 degrees. Without warning the panoramic sunroof on my E63S exploded with a loud pop and showered the interior of my car with glass. This was sudden and unprovoked by any outside object or force. Mercedes Benz USA has denied any responsibility via both dealership and choosing to be non-responsive to my MBUSA incident claim on the matter. In searching, this seems to be a common problem.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC43 Complaints
2020 AMG GLC 43 coupe here in Harrison, NJ. My driving style with this vehicle isn't different in any relevant way versus with past vehicles. There is an acceleration dead spot which is the default occurrence when I am coasting at a low speed and then go to accelerate. Common scenarios are driving toward an intersection and rolling forward as you determine if you are clear to go and then accelerating, or slowing down to let a car in the lane next to you go by so you can then switch lanes and accelerate. I swear, I've almost gotten killed a few times when I had time to go but only if I hustled; depress the accelerator, and nothing happens for a full second. Then I go from having enough time to almost getting hit.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC63 Complaints
The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC63. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at highway speeds, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated while the accelerator pedal was being depressed. The check engine warning light illuminated, and a message displayed on the instrument panel stated that the “Transmission Needs to Cool, Stop and Pull Over Immediately”. The contact stated that the vehicle had locked in first gear and decelerated to approximately 55 MPH. Additionally, the contact stated that his wife was able to navigate the vehicle back to the residence. The contact stated that the following day the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it remained awaiting a diagnostic test. The vehicle had not yet been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.;
