Thor Motor Coach is recalling certain 2017-2020 Aria, Venetian and Tuscany

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Aria, Venetian and Tuscany, 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2017-2019 Palazzo motorhomes vehicles that received an inspection-only remedy for recall 18V-763. The rear mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have been damaged during manufacturing, possibly resulting in the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals not functioning.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,417 units affected.

Description:: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Aria, Venetian and Tuscany, 2017 Tuscany XTE and 2017-2019 Palazzo motorhomes vehicles that received an inspection-only remedy for recall 18V-763. The rear mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have been damaged during manufacturing, possibly resulting in the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals not functioning.
Consequeces:: Non-functioning exterior marker lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: TMC will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks dealers will replace the PDM, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed October 6, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000196.

2017 THOR MOTOR COACH TUSCANY XTE Complaints
Overhead Cabinets above the driver and passenger seats above the front windshield have dropped down and bounces as we drive down the highway. Yes, it is available for inspection, I also have pictures. This started in 2019, the left side of the cabinets coming loose. We have tried unsuccessfully to fix the problem ourselves. After much research on the internet, I see where there was a RECALL 23v-121 & 2023-095 for Thor MC 2018-2021 Hurricane & Windsport. TMC recall # is RC000290. WE would like to be added to that recall and have our unit fixed properly before there is an accident. No one has inspected it yet, and no warning lights for failure.;
2019 THOR MOTOR COACH PALAZZO Complaints
Driving down the highway and the DEF check engine light came on. It indicated to pull over and shut down immediately. I was on a highway that had long 7% grade hills with minimal places to pull over in arizona mou tain range. I was able to make it home after engine debated. Took to a freightliner dealer and paid 4400.00 to have DEF pump replaced. It turns out that was not the problem. I tried to go on another trip a month later and I hot a low DEF signal. I was told it was a DEF head. Freightliner XCS chassis our having lots of issues with DEF. The def is for emissions and should not shut the engine down or debate the performance for an emussion issue.;
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH ARIA Complaints
Four times while driving, the STOP ENGINE light came on causing the vehicle to slow to 5 MPH--twice while I was on the freeway in busy traffic--very hazardous. Two different error codes showed after the check engine light came on and then after I stopped and restarted the engine a few hours later, the check engine lights turned off. I took it to a Freightliner repair dealer and the accelerator pedal was defective. I only had 9000+ miles on the vehicle. The error codes were: spn 2623 FMI: 4 oc:6 sa:0 and Spn 91: Spn: 2 oc:3 sa:0. Note: these codes totally reset as if nothing was wrong.;
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH TUSCANY Complaints
The contact owns a 2020 Thor Tuscany RV built on a 2019 Freightliner chassis. The contact stated that while operating the RV, it was discovered that the front windshield wipers and cruise control were inoperable. The RV was taken to the local service center who diagnosed that the steering wheel control module was faulty and needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The RV was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 5,000. The contact stated that the required parts will not be available until some time at the end of 2023.;
