Newmar Corporaton (Newmar) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Ventana LE, 2017-2020 Ventana, London Aire, Essex and Dutch Star, 2017-2019 Mountain Aire, 2018-2020 New Aire, and 2020 Kountry Star motorhomes that received the 'inspection-only' remedy from recall 19V-426. The rear mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have been damaged during manufacturing, possibly resulting in the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals not functioning.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 3,202 units affected.

Description:: Newmar Corporaton (Newmar) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Ventana LE, 2017-2020 Ventana, London Aire, Essex and Dutch Star, 2017-2019 Mountain Aire, 2018-2020 New Aire, and 2020 Kountry Star motorhomes that received the 'inspection-only' remedy from recall 19V-426. The rear mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have been damaged during manufacturing, possibly resulting in the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals not functioning.
Consequeces:: Non-functioning exterior marker lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks North America dealers will replace the PDM, free of charge. This recall began September 11, 2020. Owners may contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 20V-404.

2020 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR Complaints
I purchased a 2020 Newmar Dutchstar RV on [XXX] and first noticed the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sytem (TPMS) start to malfunction shortly after. The first indication of the malfunction were nuisance warnings stating tire overheat conditions, followed by constant communication warnings and multiple tires not indicating anything at all. The current state of the TPMS as of today [XXX] is it does not function at all with a constant communication error displayed on the dash panel. I received SF644A-C from DTNA in March 2022 stating the TPMS controller software required an update and some antenna modifications were required. I received FL935A-C and NHTSA #22V-379 in July 2022 stating the same information as the previous notification. I contacted my Freightliner service center, Transwest Truck Center in Fontana California (909) 770-5170 to request an appointment to have the safety recall completed. They stated they were waiting on software and parts from Freightliner. I finally got an appointment on 1-23-2023 to have the recall completed. The recall was completed the next day and when I picked up the vehicle the TPMS was still malfunctioning (same Issues) so I left the vehicle for additional repairs. I picked the vehicle up again on 1-27-2023 and the TPMS was still malfunctioning, but I could leave the vehicle for additional service due to a scheduled trip. My opinion only: The software update appears to ignore the low/high pressure and over temp warnings. Every year during annual service, I ask Transwest to look into the TPMS issue and they stated that Freightliner has not provided any additional guidance. I have called Freightliner 24/7 and they stated they are not aware of any issues. I don’t know what else I can do to get this issue resolved so I am attempting to file this claim with NHTSA. 2020 NEWMAR KOUNTRY STAR Complaints
5 windows were replaced under the Lippert 21E-047 recall. The replacement windows were no better than the original recalled windows. One of the new replacement windows suddenly fell off the vehicle in traffic after only 4 months. The glue bond holding the window to the hinge failed. I sent pictures to Lippert showing the failed joint. Lippert refuses to have the defective replacement window repaired and shows no interest in evaluating the quality of the other replacement windows. This is a very dangerous situation as another one of the replacement windows could fall off and hit another vehicle causing severe damage and injury.;
2020 NEWMAR LONDON AIRE Complaints
UNKNOWN I was traveling in this new to me 2020 Newmar London Aire on a trip of approx. 2,700 miles. The first issue was coming to a bridge in SC that was maybe 400 feet in length. There were lots of transition strips and dips on the bridge. When I first approached the bridge, my Motorhome bounced/propoised so violently that my wife flew up out of her sit and the front end dropped to the stops on the frame. I have been MHoming since 1999 and have never experienced this type of bouncing. I was scared and the MH continued to bounce on this bridge for another 6-8 times, although not as violent as the first bounce. We experienced this bouncing/porpoising many other times on our trip, just not quite as violent as described above. This is a major safety issue and it has to do with improper shocks/ no sway bar on the front axle. The chassis is Spartan and I talked to them about the problem but they played dumb, even though I have communicated with many other MH owners who have experienced this same problem with this K3 Spartan Chassis. Those owners have also talked to Spartan and have not gotten any satisfaction.;
